Baby Talk

Baby sign or baby talk is a concept and practice of communication (not a language per se) with hearing babies in a sign language before they can first vocally speak. In contrary to the prevalent misperception, there is no such as "baby sign language", as inappropriately saying as "baby English language", for both English and ASL have equally complex grammar, structure, syntax, rules and others in linguistics. Its approach is as practical and intuitive as real-life among native ASL parents who speak ASL to babies, in the same way as parents talking English to their babies.

In this section, the sign-word menu consists of the most often used ASL sign-words among parents and babies. Please refer to the ASL Dictionary for more sign-words.

ABC Signs

The "ABC Signs", a multi-leveled flashcard set online for toddlers and children, makes learning the alphabet easy. A child will learn the alphabet and how to spell properly, read, and write or type a word.

123 Signs

The "123 Signs", like ABC Signs, is a learning activity for toddlers and children in numbers and counts in multi-leveled languages: numeral, English, and ASL.
